Kathleen Patterson

Program Specialist

Kathleen found her love for oysters after learning about their importance in her sustainable aquaculture class at UGA. Her background in Ecology, Geography, and Fisheries made her a perfect match for Shell to Shore as a Shell Recycling Intern, and then as a member of the inaugural Salt Marsh Stories of Climate Change Fellowship Program.

After graduation, she committed to continue her journey with Shell to Shore, where she serves as Program Specialist for them and for partner organization, Save Our Legacy Ourself (SOLO). Here, she hopes to work at the intersection of human rights, conservation, and restoration.

In her free time, you can find her attending yoga class, biking, hiking, or finding a new craft to obsess over.
